About
Thomas Anglero
Keynote Speaker · Author · Strategic AI Advisor to Executive Leaders and Boards
You probably already know that AI is going to reshape your organisation. What you may not have expected is how personally it would land. The decisions are faster than your governance. Your leadership team is split between those who want to move and those who are not ready. And somewhere in the middle of it, you are carrying a weight that nobody prepared you for.
When senior leaders get this wrong — when they wait too long, delegate AI strategy to the wrong layer, or mistake a tool upgrade for a genuine transformation — the cost is rarely loud. It is the quiet departure of your strongest people. It is the market position you do not recover. It is the board conversation that happens without you.
Thomas Anglero is a three-time technology pioneer, keynote speaker, author of Intro to Artificial Intelligence, and Strategic AI Advisor to executive leaders and boards. He advises a small number of senior executives on AI strategy and organisational transformation, and delivers keynotes — more than 450 across 30+ countries — for organisations including the European Commission, the World Health Organisation, the World Government Summit, IBM, EY, Medtronic, and UNICEF. He publishes Clarity at the Top, a newsletter and podcast for senior leaders. He operates through MerkabaPhi AS in Oslo, Norway.
Three times, the industry changed. Three times, Thomas was already inside it.
In 1993, he was among the first ten people in the world to make a voice call over the internet. He became CEO of Free World Dialup — the world’s first peer-to-peer voice network and a direct predecessor to Skype. CNN featured him as Maverick of the Day to three million viewers. The industry he helped build is now worth over $100 billion.
In 2014, he founded the IBM Watson Lab for Cancer at the Oslo Cancer Cluster — the first AI laboratory for cancer embedded within a European cancer campus. Physicians travelled from across the continent to see what AI could mean for medicine. It became the moment where AI in European healthcare was recognised as a serious discipline, not a technology experiment.
In 2025, he built his latest venture entirely with AI agents as his engineering team. No traditional development staff. AI agents handle the building; humans hold the direction and the accountability. The advice Thomas gives senior leaders comes from that lived experience — not from theory.
How we work together
For advisory clients, the work is direct and private. Thomas works with a small number of senior leaders each quarter — on the questions they cannot ask out loud inside their own organisation. Every engagement follows the Thomas Anglero Method. Confidentiality is absolute.
For event organisers, Thomas delivers three keynotes grounded entirely in his own executive career — written for senior audiences who have already heard the easy version of this story.
